Count the ships. Count the barrels. Count those bounced.
Unleash the vote. Orange is the color that cancels blue. And on November 3, unleash the orange tsunami.
Eight months ago, the forecast was an intractable conflict. Iran would disrupt global oil flows, render the Strait of Hormuz impassable, and exhaust American resources with low-cost unmanned systems. Every prediction has had its opportunity for validation, and every one has failed.
I · The Barrels
Brent spiked to $126 in April, and the pessimistic market participants declared success. That was a speculative pricing anomaly presented as a military failure. America, the world’s largest oil producer and a net exporter, never experienced a supply shortage; pump prices rose only because oil is priced on global markets, and markets exhibit volatility in response to any disruption, whether war or hurricane. By October, Middle Eastern exports were running above pre-war levels.
II · The Ships
Tehran’s sea mines were meant to be a decisive asymmetric advantage. Instead, the Navy cleared the transit corridors, leaving the IRGC to issue press releases about tankers of unconfirmed identity and registry. Anyone with a live AIS map can watch ships moving through the strait this morning, and not one under Navy escort has been hit.
III · The Drones
Cheap drones were sold as a force equalizer, $20,000 of commercial components against multimillion-dollar missiles. That cost asymmetry held until directed-energy systems became operational at a few dollars per engagement, converting Iran’s tactical approach into accelerated depletion of its inventory.
The Rally Reel
IV · The Regime
What remains of the regime is a residual structure under military command, its Supreme Leader dead and successive leaders cut down, many times over. Oh, and no fucking nuclear bomb.
V · The Detour
Months ago our President characterized this as a temporary diversion (a detour) and said the formal termination would come after the midterm elections. That agreement won’t decide anything; it will record what has already been done on the water and in the air. Iran can contest the wording, but it cannot improve its position through continued small-craft activity.
VI · At Home
At home, the administration is nearing one million deportations. Another number to put alongside the predictions, the promises, and the results.
Keep the “Iran is in it” narrative active through Election Day if you must do the bidding of corporate media. The rest of us can count and read a map.
